Woolf & Bean’s success has made Devizes a style hunter’s destination. The boutique pays tribute to both the edgy West Village and Nolita stores in NY with their inspired service and happening aura, and the more laid back vibe of the St Tropez boutiques.
“Clothes do influence your mood, and I want customers to feel fabulous” says Joanna Woolf.
“I like to suggest styles that they will not automatically have chosen for themselves” says Katie Bean.
Joanna has a background in the beauty industry and as an artist. Katie is an accomplished Pilates teacher which gives her an innate ability to study form and body type. They met each other when Joanna walked into the class Katie taught at the ultra chic Babington House.
Their mutual love and knowledge of fashion and their passion for Lifestyle both Urban and Rural give them the edge.
The shop is evolving all the time and Joanna and Katie are constantly on the lookout for new collections to appeal to their customers.
“A lot of women do find shopping for clothes frustrating and intimidating. We want our customers to feel that we have hand-picked the best of current fashion trends for them, giving them the confidence to wear great fashion effortlessly through the day into the evening.
The clientele is wide and varied. “We believe there is something here for everyone, from teenagers to the mature woman. All you need to do is open your mind.”
The boutique is receiving a good deal of press and the idea that any woman can pop in and take all the time she wants, emerging transformed is spreading quickly.
